A playful feline side-archive from the early AI image-making era.

Inspired by years of photographing San Francisco corner-store cats, this collection preserves the strange, bright, and unpredictable images that came back when real-world observation met the machine’s dreaming logic.

It began simply enough: noticing shop cats, photographing them, following the small feline presences tucked into the corners of the city.

Then the sleepless mind started playing tricks.

A cat became a character.
A corner-store guardian became a tiny myth.
And somewhere along the way, the machine began returning them in knit caps, costumes, strange colors, and impossible little moods.

Porthos approves of this collection — mainly because he is not required to wear a hat.
